Page 8 has photos of the features and plants under the deck, some of the top of the deck in winter and some of the plants wish list and some of the plant thugs. There is the viewing platform with the delphinium and the old stump. The edge of the pond plants will be in the pond surrounds garden room page and its accompanying photo album. There is a photo of the lush ferns in the deep shade, with the seating chair and cedars in the background. A view of the plastic stepping stones that go to the 'someday to be' seating area, and the old stump with the Japanese aralia in the foreground, a close up of the stumps and drain pipe from the eaves that runs into the cedar privacy area; a photo of the thrashed cedar hedge where the nefarious neighbours have destroyed the bottoms of the cedar 'once upon a time' privacy hedge. There are a few photos of the deck in the winter snow. I lost the Jack Frost Heartleaf Brunnera, Siberian Bugloss Brunnera macrophylla and it is now on my wish list. The yellow loosestrife is a very nice but aggressive, invasive plant, so sadly I had to remove it. The newly purchased water clover, I found, to my dismay, is a very invasive plant, so it too is gone. The saxifragias in the small pots on the deck were all eventually planted in the little gold wall rockery in the front garden. This project, also was not successful. Very few of the saxifragias survive. The blue 'strawberry jar' lost its covering paint and was broken, so is no longer on the deck top.
