Page 5 has photos of more of the patio plants. We see the Kaffer lilies in bloom beside the steps up to the deck
and next to the first Rhodo. Along the retaining wall and next to the step up to the old side walk is a pink creeping
phlox. It looks good next to the veronica with bluish leaves and light blue flowers. Across the step up to the old
sidewalk there are erodiums hanging over the retaining wall. The grape grows out of the under planted erodiums
at this corner of the garage. In this photo the brown pot with the mini rose sits on the patio. Beside the steps
and next to the retaining wall is the first rhodo. Under the rhodo is planted the horribily invasive chamelion plant
and an arum-looking plant. Research tells me it is Pinella ternata from Japan. Since this Jack in the pulpit went to
seed it has taken over this area. I have to keep digging it and the chameleon plants out. I will try roundup next.
Also under the rhodos I have the dark purple hellebore. I have moved the white hellebore to near the deck post.
The hellebores are fairly aggressive but easily controlled. Looking under the steps we see ferns
and mosses growing and have a view out to the apple tree.
