As we come to the end of the stepping stones they curve around the bamboo and
the lily of the valley shrub. We go past the entry to the cutting garden room and past
the little rockery. We follow the field stone path that goes up the cement steps to the
the pond surrounds garden room photos where the Lebanon cedar and the globe cedar on
each side of this path are being clipped in a Japanese style. Along this field stone path we see
the Harry Lauder's walking stick shrub, the lovely little red cutleaf Japanese maple and the mountain
laurel, with the pink hepatica behind them, next to the dry stream. We see the dry stream with the
Japanese lantern (moss growing on it) with the Japanese aralia behind it and the astilbes to the other side
of the dry stream, which curves and goes along the edge of the deck. These last three photos are older ones.
I should like to get the drystream back to its original appearance and also get moss growing on the lantern again.
See the list of the plants in this garden room.
