This great blue heron was seen on the roof top of the old garage in the back garden, on February 18, 2019. The herons are constantly checking out the water garden for a fish lunch. At the moment the birds have got all of the fish in the pond and from the water feature on the deck. Check the purchases of August 2019 for a purchase of fish. I have had tomatoe cages around the edges of the pond to keep them out. I guess I will need to add the tomatoe cages back to the pond edges, or perhaps, bamboo canes.
