the rectangle bed by the driveway in the Boulevard garden room. This rectangle contains the peonies,
a tall white veronica, an erodium, montebretias, limonium, some lupines. It is bordered by cedar hedges on
two sides, the grass on the driveway side, and a little honeysuckle pilea that divides the rectangle from the 2nd
strip of about 6 feet that runs across the property. In the second strip there is a French lavender, more lupines,
achilleas, crocuses, a blue grass, white daisies and the big round bridal veil spirea. The spirea bush is about
half way across this second strip. The third strip is grass, with the crocuses in it; and then the few feet of
just grass next to the street. We have no curb, so people seem to feel free to drive on the boulevard.
The grass along this third strip does not get mowed until the crocuses have hardened off.
