Gentiana acaulis, the stemless gentian, or trumpet gentian, is an evergreen alpine perennial forming a slowly growing
mat of glossy, deep green elliptical leaves. Sitting directly on top of foliage, large solitary rich blue, trumpet
shaped flowers bloom in late spring. Needs loam/sand soil with good drainage, full/partial sun, and kept moist.
I moved this one from the back garden also. I lost it. I must get another one or two.
