Hesperis matronalis is an herbaceous plant species in the family Brassicaceae. It has numerous common names,
including dame's rocket. Dame's rocket has escaped from gardens and is rapidly invading the surrounding landscapes.
Left unchecked, this beautiful, yet lethal plant will wreak havoc on the natural environment, threatening the survival
of native plants and degrading habitat and water quality. This one is growing in the driveway strip.
It also grows in the woodland. I never knew it was considered invasive.
