| Page 1 – flight and arrival (survival?) Day 1 – October 22, 2005: We flew Vancouver to Amsterdam direct with KLM. We had the exit seats so were very comfortable. Bags that are checked can weigh 50 lbs. And carry on bags to weigh 22 lbs. Day 2 – October 23, 2005 Here is a link to the Uniworld rates and pictures of the ship. River Duchesss We arrive in Amsterdam and are met and taken to the MS River Duchess and wait for our cabin. We are upgraded two floors. The capacity of the ship is 138 and we have only 78 passengers. Pat goes to the Introduction and dinner and I sleep. We are too jet lagged to go see anything of Amsterdam. I spend some time taking pictures of the River traffic. |
